Worn out wedding cake
This was a 2 part wedding cake, Kris and Michael wanted individual wedding cakes for the guests but wanted a cake that would show a bit of their personalities! I was helped by sister Julia and sister Davina took them to the wedding in Wigan, as she was a guest! (They are actually my sisters, not nun's lol)
Roses are red - Anniversary cake.
I was asked to make a Ruby wedding cake, it had to be a heart shape, with ruby red roses and ivory icing. I made the roses using flower paste, it was a little daunting as the recipient was a florist! They were really pleased with the result though.
Can I cook it? - Yes I can!
Guitar Cake - sweet music!
This was a cake I made a few years ago, I had made my son a guitar cake a few months before which didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but the strings were a lot better on this one. I carved the cake from madeira sponge cake, covered with butter-cream and fondant icing. The silver parts were made from flower paste and painted with edible colour paint.
First Post woo-hoo!
Haven't actually cooked anything for a few weeks but we decided to start up this blog cos we have quite a few things to make in the next couple of weeks. We have got quite a few pictures of past projects tho so they will be uploaded over the next few weeks hopefully.
Thanks for reading, if anyone is!
